The new feedly

I’ve been using the new feedly Android app for a day and I’m not a fan.

First of all, the new design just wastes precious screen real estate:

this is the same problem as with the desktop edition, but at least there I have plenty of space.

Secondly, the new app introduced this full-screen view which means when I swipe to the next screen I’ve only scanned one article, not four (which slows down my way of reading news):

I really hope this is just the feedly team throwing ideas at us (it still says beta after all) since I would hate to have to go through finding a new reader.

Edit: Found one more thing, which is gone in this version: There does not seem to be a “Reformat” option in the context menu. Also, the context menu does not open when pressing the menu button on my phone.
